Nicola Dusi

Nicola Dusi (1966), Phd in Semiotics (Univ. of Bologna), is Researcher of Media Semiotics at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Italy). He's one of the staff of Segnocinema, a movie magazine, and of the e-journal of the italian semiotics association (AISS), E/C.

Dusi edited (in collaboration with S. Nergaard) in dec. 2000 the number 85-86-87 of Versus, dedicated to Intersemiotic Translation; and (with M. Troehler e F. Vanoye) the number 30 of Iris, wih the title: Film Adaptation: Methodological Questions, Aesthetic Questions.

He's the author of Il cinema come traduzione. Da un medium all’altro: letteratura, cinema e pittura (Utet, Torino, 2003).

He also edited (with L. Spaziante), the volumes Remix-Remake. Pratiche di replicabilità (Meltemi, Roma, 2006); and (with G. Marrone) Narrazione ed esperienza. Intorno a una semiotica della vita quotidiana (Meltemi, Roma, 2007); and Destini del sacro. Discorso religioso e semiotica della cultura (Meltemi, 2008).

He recently edited (with C. Righi) a monographic number of Degrés (141, 2010) with the title: The Sense of Dance. Dance Research and Transmedia Practices.
